Join the RFC Team

The Real Food Challenge is a youth-driven initiative.  College and high school students and other youth activists run the whole show from the grassroots organizing to the national coordination. We are looking for inspired, motivated, and imaginative individuals to join the effort and help us shape the future of this young movement. As an organization we strive to be transparent and accountable to our base and work actively to dismantle all forms of oppression in our structures and relationships. Working with the Real Food Challenge is a great leadership development experience--learn from experienced young organizers and flex your muscles!

Internships are project-based and last one semester/trimester or an entire summer.  To apply, please email

National Working Groups

Through Working Groups, students from different schools and different parts of the country build relationships, share strategies, plan campaigns and collaborate on projects. This is a critical place for learning and leadership in the RFC network. Students can participate in a Working Group at a variety of levels, from regularly contributing to conference calls, to joining special Working Group projects, to serving as a co-chair and taking a primary role in coordinating the activities of the group. Applications for both of these are accepted on a year-long rolling basis.
