A new era of food justice is coming.
After months of deep reflection, visioning, and strategy development, Real Food Challenge is launching into a new era THIS FALL!
For ten years, we have been at the forefront of making meaningful change in our food system at the institutional level.
Even as we advance that work (did you see our last email?), you may have noticed that we've been a little quieter than usual. That's because we made a strategic choice to step back, assess what's missing from the dominant national food movement, deeply reflect on our work and our role in that movement, and design a new strategy for us to continue a long and global legacy of fighting for a Real Food future.
We're ready for it.
We're spending this hot, hot summer preparing for this exciting shift. In July, we convened to practice new trainings on how to fight for radical change in our food system.
This new phase will launch at the National Food Action Summit!
Later this summer, Western Washington University students will host folks from around the U.S. for a momentous weekend together.
We'll share stories and strategies, gain valuable skills, and dig into a new campaign to tackle the stranglehold that corporate food companies have on our institutions and communities. #SpoilerAlert: ...It's going to be AWESOME.
Right now, dozens of students and community members are ready to join us for this new phase of our movement, and we need you to do the same.
Will you make a donation to help grow our scholarship fund so more students can join us at the National Food Action Summit?
